Puja Parikrama 2012 : Khidirpur, New Alipore, Naktala

Khidirpur Pally Sharadiya Club Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Khidirpur Pally Sharadiya Durga Puja 2012 theme is 'Trilok Darshan' - tour of 'Patal, Martya & Swarga' (Hell, Earth & Heaven). The way to reach at the place of goddess Durga is going through hell and earth. At the entrance of the Pujo Pandal we shall view Hell which is dominated by raw and crude emotions, atavistic fears and instincts, depravity and bestiality. Aluminum sheets and iron are utilized to develop the atmosphere of Hell. Next is Earth that abounds in the vibrancy and vitality of life and loads of green and jute materials are used for creating Earth. Finally Heaven greets us where Gods and Goddesses sit at the top of a mountain shrouded in a clouded mist and cotton and fiber sheet are used to create the environment and feel of Heaven.

Khidirpur Udayan Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

“Save Trees, Save Nature” is the theme Khidirpur Udyan Club. A tree is been made at the center of the mandap with mirror as leaves to show that the trees are part of our family.

Khidirpur 74 Pally Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Khidirpur Nabarag Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

The lost childhood will be recovered in the puja pandal of Khidirpur Nabarag Sangha. The obsessions of childhood, fear of homework, playing hide & seek, atmosphere of autumn festival would be there, or the sketches on drawing books, colours, expression of a green heart - all the flavours of precious childhood would be there at the puja mandap. So, their theme is 'Aamar Chelebela' (My Childhood). Transparent Japanese clothes 'Tarpedo' will be used to draw and write.

Suruchi Sangha Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

In Durga Pujo 2012 Suruchi Sangha, commented on Sea Pollution using Art and Architecture as the medium and their theme state is Goa. Pollution in the ocean is a major hindrance that is affecting not only the ocean but also Earth. It directly affects the ocean organisms and indirectly affects human health and resources. Oil spills, toxic wastes and dumping of other harmful materials are all major sources of ocean pollution. People should make themselves more aware about pollution of this sort because their knowledge would provide them about the measures of preventing it. Suruchi Sangha Durga Pujo 2012 shall address this problem specifically. Culture of Goa is infused with Portuguese influence. The historic city of Margao still exhibits the cultural influence of the Portuguese who first landed in the early sixteenth century as merchants and conquered it soon thereafter. During the Portuguese colonization local craftsmen played a major role in the development of exquisite furnishings and decorations and sculptures. What Goa's music and dance, arts and crafts, cuisine and festival is today are evolved out of a shared past. This Durga Pujo in 2012 Kolkata witnessed the blend of Bengal and Goan culture in Suruchi Sangha Durga Puja ground.
The main entry gate of the Puja Mandap resembles the tail of a popular Goan fish. Sculptures are carved with the purpose of ornamenting and enhancing the beauty of the Pujo Mandap. Some aquatic animals, school of fish, have been kept and undersea activities shall also be portrayed and illustrated  to provide originality to the concept.  Portuguese architecture which is noted for their typical arch formations will also be seen in Suruchi Sangha Durga Pujo 2012. Ma Durga is being sculpted keeping in accordance with the essence of the thematic content.

Naktala Udayan Sangha Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

The belief that God is present in every little thing is what Naktala Udayan Sangha attempts to express. The 1 CRORE budget mandap depicts the complete life cycle of a butterfly from a cocoon to a caterpillar to a colorful butterfly. The puja is also high on social responsibility, having donated a huge sum of money for children in need of open-heart surgery besides taking care of thalassaemic children.
