In Maniktala Chaltabagan Loha Patty Sarbojanin Durgotsav, the red hot sun is rising over the calm blue sea as they have depicted the theme “Surjya Theke Samudra”. The huge structure of the mandap is made of iron and designed with very delicate art of colored Plaster of Paris.

Rammohan Smriti Sangha Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Rammohan Shrishti Sangha has tried to be a bit didactic and moralistic in its approach of the theme, '' Dream''. The theme aims at affirming the detrimental and unfavorable impacts of deforestation, global warming and the continuous destruction of the Green for the sake of industrialization and urbanization. A beautiful creation of God, a butterfly who symbolizes flamboyance, gaiety and mirth, freedom, naturalness and purity is personified. The butterfly offers her sincerest prayers and offerings to the Providence and asks the Almighty to endow her with strength, courage and fortitude so that she can fight against the ruthlessness of humans and his condemnable and despicable act of destroying and devastating the greenery around.

The theme picked up by Sammilita Malapara Sarbojanin is “Putul” (Dolls). The whole pandal is decorated with several dolls. The idol of Maa Durga is also made like dolls and shows selling process of dolls and toys of old times.

Football is a game with which an attachment and craze exist among the Bengalis. Even during world cup we have seen how Kolkata shows emotional outburst for their respective teams whom they are supporting and admiring. Md. Ali Park has decided to highlight this love that Bengalis nurture for football and the recreated Africa's biggest Johannesburg stadium.

College Square Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

College Square is paying reverence and showing allegiance to the spiritual teacher, patriot, prophet Swami Vivekananda, a messiah of modern India through Durga Pujo 2012. Towards the end of 1892 after three years of wandering in different parts of India, a young monk reached Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. He meditated on the rock and at the end of three days and nights the monk found enlightenment. Today the rock is known as Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the monk is Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji's hundred and fiftieth birth anniversary year is commemorated by College Square Durga Pujo 2012 by erecting their Pandal structure in the form of Vivekananda Rock Memorial of Kanyakumari.

The pioneer of theme pujo presented the external part of the Pandal as a replica of Disneyland California. The interior part of Santosh Mitra Square is being decorated with Sukumar Roy's classic, Abol Tabol.
Santosh Mitra Square Durga Pujo also shoulders its responsibilities towards the society, it provides free beds for the poor, helpless and down- trodden in Thakurpukur Cancer Research Center, monetary donation has been sanctioned to Bangabashi Collegiate School for implementing the work of renovation, scholarships to Calcutta University are also given by the Durga Pujo committee.
