Jodhpur Park Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Antic thakurbari coupled with European art nouveau architecture describes this year’s Jodhpur Park Sarbojanin Durgotsav. The mandap is made of plywood and plaster of Paris which gives it a rich as well as ethnic look.

95 Pally Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

The theme of 95 Pally is 'Ananda'. We often express our feelings with hands; so, thousands of multicolored hands used to expose the theme which Lalan Fakir had expressed 150 years ago with the immortal lines "Aat kuthurir noi darja aanta, tar moddhye moddhye jhorka kata". The idol of goddess DURGA is made of fiber glass. Several paintings of Sanatan Dinda is exhibited on the stage. A huge face is there on the entrance, which is half Mahadev and half Buddhadev.

Babubagan Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

The mandap is an intricate work of bamboo poles structured in the shape a pagoda in Bangkok. The idol inside is simple and serene in keeping the theme. "There is no theme as such. We are trying to depict the goddess in a traditional way," said organising committee member Somsankar Chatterjee.

Bandhab Sammilani Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Selimpur Pally Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Dwijendralal Roy popularly known as D.L.Roy is an eminent poet, playwright and musician. His “Dhono Dhanne Pushpe Bhora” is embedded deep within the inner recesses of every Bengali’s mind. And Selimpur Pally Sarbojanin Durgotsav this year selected the theme based on two lines of this song-
Gunjoria Ase Oli Kunje Kunje Dheye,
Tara Phuler Opor Ghumiye Pore Phuler Modhu Kheye.
It means the sound of Honeybee is passing through the petals of flowers and they sleep on the flowers after consuming the honey from the flowers.’
In Durga Puja 2012 their theme revolves around a tree which is situated in Selimpur Pally Durga Puja ground itself. On the top of a thirty- six feet high tree, an artificial beehive is produced. A pseudo lotus is made which is been served as the throne of Ma Durga to bloom in full glory beneath the tree. Boat is used to make twenty feet high lotus petals. An unreal water source is made in a close vicinity to recreate an apparent feel of the  lotus blossoming and decorating the water body. The space between the beehive and lotus shall be underscored and punctuated by the use of polychrome.

Shibmandir Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Blend of myth and science - The horrid aspect of human clone depicted under Hindu mythology would be prepared in the Pandal. 10 ft high 'Rakta-Beej' demon will be made by iron rods and pieces of tins, the demon will carry weapons of cloning - structure of DNA. Malpractice of it may endanger the life. So the theme of Shib Mandir is: ‘Say No to Human Cloning’.

Mudiali Club Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

‘Daaker Saaj’ has so long been utilized as a constituent used for Ma Durga's ornamentation. But Mudiali Club known for its ingenuity and resourcefulness decorate their entire mandap with Golden ‘Daaker Saaj’. Not only the Pandal but Golden ‘Daaker Saaj’ also has a role in embellishment for Ma Durga.

Pratapaditya Road Tricone Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Badamtala Ashar Sangha Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Badamtala Ashar Sangha in their urge to explore the obscure and mysterious realms has undertaken up the enterprising task of recognizing the efforts of the talented, the industrious and the diligent people because with time such people become inconsequential and insubstantial. In Durga Puja 2012, they hypnotized the mandap hoppers with the artistic vibrance of Sri Bandan Raha's lost creations. The theme is “Preservation of art”.

66 Pally Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

66 Pally Durga Puja 2012 would attempt to impersonate a part of the temple where Devi Durga was worshipped in the lost city of Dwarka which is now under the sea , as found by Institute of Oceanography in 1999 by Mr. S.R. Rao and also by International Nautical Archaeology.

Kalighat Byam Samity Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

Chetla Agroni Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

A South- Kolkata based club that is multi- talented in the true sense of the term is none other than Chetla Agroni Club. From Sports to Cultural events, from Kali Puja to Durga Puja , Chetla Agroni is simply versatile. In Durga Puja 2012, the club enamored the Kolkata crowd with the theme of ''Hriday Premer Shirsho''. Chetla Agroni Club Durga Puja 2012 is the time for solemnization of the soothing moonlit beauty of Devi Durga and purifying our souls. With the progress in technology and civilization, human life has become a ring that is bombarded with positivity, negativity, good luck, evilness, ill omens and premonitions. Chetla Agroni took us into one phase among the ''seven ages''- the domain of pure and ethereal love. The powerful emotion of love makes us to rise above ordinary mundane things and realities. Ma Durga sows the seed of life and love. Devi Durga appears in her worldly image with her own strength, dignity to destroy the maleficent and nefarious and establish the message of peace, of harmony and of love. The towering presence of love shall be celebrated in the presence of the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent Ma Durga, the harbinger of love.

Maddox Square Sarbojanin Durgotsav:

A Durga Pujo which was started by Late Saroj Bagchi at his residence in 1935 was shifted to Maddox Square Park next year and began to be known as Maddox Square Durga Pujo. The Durga Pujo here is purely traditional , the Ekchala pattern is followed and Ma Durga and her four children are ornamented with golden Daaker Saaj. The Pandal is usually in the format of a Rajbari belonging to  the time of Zamindars. In the words of Shib Shankar Basu, treasurer of Maddox Square Durga Puja 2012, '' the Pujo here is pillar based to facilitate easy movement, entry and exit of the Pandal hoppers''.The Pandal ceiling is decorated with huge lanterns from Rajasthan.

It has a nostalgia, an air of reminiscence ,an aura around it. It is a meeting ground where long lost friends from school or college perhaps get a chance to come across each other , sit on the green grass and exchange some ideas. The huge gathering from people of  all age groups , the chatting, the discussion, the gossips that go on among friends while sitting on the Pujo ground  have a special feel.
