Love You... LAVASA !!!

Lavasa, India's first planned hill city, is being built near Pune (around 60km) in the Mose valley of the Western Ghats. The city is yet to be completed.

Anyways, it's more than two years I am in Pune and heard about Lavasa. But, sadly could not make it in two years.
My friend has come from Mumbai on Saturday evening. So thought of going there with friends. But she ditched as she always does due to some so called unavoidable circumstances. So it's only two of us, me and Kaka (my friend). We dropped our friend near Wakdewadi and headed towards Lavasa.

It's my first trip with my Panther. I was very excited. It's the same with Kaka as he's on his new Twister.

We went to Chadni Chowk, took Paud Rd till we find a gate (made with banner of Lavasa) on the left. We took left and then onwards, it's just awesome, awesome and awesome riding experience.

Roads are well built and wide compared to other ghats. I was constantly driving in 4th gear even sometimes in 5th gear except turnings.

Driving in ghats is always thrilling. We stopped by many places, took snaps and moved forward.

It was drizzling and foggy when we reach Lavasa main gate and and It's hardly visible after 15 feet. The security registered our name and give us a map of Lavasa which we hardly used.

The roads become more wide as we entered through main gate. There are few springs on the way.

We are hungry and we needed to get to the town ASAP. But it's started raining cats and dogs. We had to stop by a go-down for sometime. As the shower reduced a bit, we started again and rushed into the first restaurant we found and the mouse cooled down.

It's still raining. Now, our next target was a petrol pump. It's on the other side of the hill. Once fueling is done, we went to heart of the city. Had black coffee, spend some time, took some pictures.

We went on to the dam. The town on the side of the lake looks spectacular. As monsoon has not started well till date, the other side of the dam is yet to be filled..

I was thinking of waiting till sunset. But, Kaka was afraid of driving in ghats in dark. Eventually, we started for Pune.

Final words- It's a nice place for a lazy morning trip especially to go for quick drive.
