In ancient Bengal, engraving of metals to create artistic images was started since the inception of 18th century. Panchanan Karmakar, Ramchand Roy, Bishwambhar Acharya were the pioneer in this field. Krishnapriyo Dasgupta, the theme-maker of Telenga Bagan is following the work of these three pioneers to make the puja pandal. 25-30 tons of metal has been used to create the theme. The Durga idol is engraved in Copper and rest of the decoration is made of iron.
