It's 2:00am in my watch, we reached Avilash's flat in Thane. We hardly slept. Cab came at 8 o'clock in the morning and the journey starts to Chinchoti.
First time, I am going somewhere with very less info in my pocket. Chinchoti lies in few kilometers from Vasai Highway between green forest area of Vasai (near Kaman village). To reach Chinchoti from Thane/Borivili take Ahmedabad Highway (NH8), cross Naigaon Phata, take the first right turn under the flyover then the first left. Then ask the local villagers ask for for direction. Click here to get the route on Google maps.
One can reach Chinchoti via multi-seater vehicle (Tata Ace) from Fountain Hotel. It will drop you under the flyover and from there a 2 km walk will take you to the starting point.
Anyways, we experienced a lot of asking to villagers. The way to start off is way dirty, full of mud and other messy things with foul smell. However, the surroundings are lash green and very scenic.
Village women working in the rice paddy, water flowing through the our way, mud and stones... just feeling awe some to enter the jungle.
The jungle become denser as we moved more and more. And choosing the right between two routes surely gave us a little challenge. However marking on stones and and trees helped us towards the destination.
This place holds a various range of flora and fauna, which makes it a worth place for nature lover.
After trekking through the jungle for around 45 minutes, we heard the murmuring of stream water and with in a few minute it became visible.
We found a route that going down to the stream and another is going directly to the spot. We decided to go for more adventure and challenges and popped into the stream.
And we found more challenges than we thought. It becomes extremely difficult at few points; rest of the part is of less difficulty. Just for an info, any one going there, carefully walk through the greenish black stones (looks like normal black stone) as it's covered with dried moss and stepping wet on it will surely make fall on your face.
We face maximum difficulties while crossing this first waterfall. Debisree got injured herself on her hand. It's advisable not to come through this path. Even we are the only group who came through this path. And I feel very proud of my buddies especially Avilash. He was scared but never move out off the track.
It took around 2.5 hours to reach the main waterfall spot. And now it's time to splash into the torrent.
We had an extensive fun all together in the water; spent quite a time.
And it's time for undertaking the waterfall under us. So, Jethu and I go up to see what's above it.
And we found one more spring over it and a stream which combines into one. Due to lack of time we could not move forward.
Due to dense forest, it's become dusky there, which forced to us leave ASAP.
